ONE MINUTE HISTORIES
Wheatley Park, Oxford 2008

We have recently completed a two-week residency at Wheatley Park School in Oxfordshire, working with year 7 pupils to complete a series of short films interpreting the history of the site.

Working with 84 students over six days, we helped produce 14 films covering such extraordinary stories as Cromwell's visit, the Moat and former Norman castle, the WW2 head injuries hospital, the many ghosts that haunt the site, the profits of slavery and England's fifth oldest living tree.

Teams of students had a single day to create their own one-minute history of the site.

Award-winning film-making

Fowler+Sumner are proud to have worked recently on this award-winning film project.

The films were screened at Newshoots 2008, a festival for screen work by secondary schools in Oxfordshire.

Mark Reid of the British Film Institute awarded the combined One Minute Histories the prize of best overall film.

Congratulations to our good friends at Wheatey Park.
